Plain-language guidance on recognising abuse and neglect, written for the person reading it, not for professionals only.
Our story
Assistance for Victims of Abuse was founded in August 2026 by the Cameroon National Youth Council, in collaboration with WYLEF, YUMEN and YEC, to build calm, mobile-friendly safety information and support pathways for Cameroon.
Founded by
Plain-language guidance on recognising abuse and neglect, written for the person reading it, not for professionals only.
A private way to describe a concern and be heard, without demanding more detail than is safe to give.
Practical next steps for children, caregivers and survivors, and honest referrals to the people equipped to help further.
How it came together
Founded by the Cameroon National Youth Council, in collaboration with WYLEF, YUMEN and YEC, in direct response to rising reports of violence against children and women across the country.
A public information beta launched: audience-first guidance for teenagers, parents, caregivers and survivors, plus a private support-request channel and a full directory of Cameroon's regions, divisions and subdivisions.
Verified regional service listings, a trained response team behind the support form, and expanded local-language coverage.
If this is an emergency, call Police 117, Gendarmerie 113, or 112 from a mobile phone where available.

A tap is enough to send. But you can give the full complaint right here: the more you can safely share, especially your location, the better we can identify what's happening and get the right help moving. This is not an emergency line; for immediate danger call 117, 113 or 112.
Thank you. If anyone is in immediate danger, call 117, 113 or 112.
